Schatz is a sassy six year old. She is a handful. "Schatz" (Shot-zee) is a German endearment like honey or sweetie.
Early on I decided that I had two options with this child. I could get frustrated with her when she is sassy or bossy; or I could recognize the humor in the situation, grab a pen, and write it down. I chose the latter. Yes, this is real. No, this is not an exaggeration.
In the spirit of fair parenting, I've started peppering this blog with the funny things that my older daughter says and does. You can't make this stuff up!
Too cute! ... something worth saving.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Honey Ants are an actual variety of ant here in the Outback?
ReplyDeleteAnd they have yellow butts.

ReplyDeleteOh, yes! And they are on Schatz's wish list. Eating a honey ant (don't know if she'll actually do it) along with holding a thorny devil.
